Design Phase of Multi-Hospital, Multi-Pharmacy Study Completed


Pharmacy design architect Bernstein & Associates, Architects (http://bernarch.com/healthcare-design-pharmacy/) recently completed the design phase of an upgrade to six hospital pharmacies, within a multi-hospital system, in the state of New York.

All six of the pharmacy design projects involve redesign and/or expansion of existing hospital pharmacies to address compliance with USP 797 and USP 800. Additionally some of the projects involve addition of pharmacy automation equipment and additional pharmacy program requirements.

The pharmacy design projects centered around state-of-the-art ISO 7 compounding suites, with both hazardous compounding and non-hazardous compounding.

Pharmacy design services for these projects included: pharmacy programming, pharmacy planning, pharmacy design, and pharmacy equipment planning.
